Successful Coding Class

We had an overwhelmingly positive response to the first coding session at Jungman Library this past Saturday!
Betty Akbar, the instructor, did an excellent job explaining the basics of block coding and guiding the kids and their parents through the Hour of Code challenges.
We had a range of ages and familiarity with coding, and Betty wisely allowed the attendees to go at their own pace. She combined group instruction and individual instruction, doing a great job of adjusting her instructions based on the child’s experience with coding. She also made sure to celebrate each person’s accomplishments – it truly felt like everyone enjoyed their experience.

Next class is Saturday, February 17, 2018
